Job Overview

The Medical Billing Intern will assist the billing department in managing and processing billing tasks, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, and supporting various administrative duties. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in medical billing and coding, as well as an understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in resubmitting corrected claims to insurance companies.
  • Help track the status of claims and update records accordingly.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of insurance claims.
  • Help with the preparation of billing reports and summaries.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of patient information.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum Graduation in any field.
  • Basic understanding of medical billing and coding principles.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
