Job Overview

The IT Support Executive is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users within an organization. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, ensuring network security, and maintaining IT systems to ensure optimal performance. The IT Support Executive works closely with other IT professionals and departments to address technical problems and provide effective solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including network connectivity problems, software malfunctions, and hardware failures.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including software updates, system backups, and hardware maintenance.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Install and configure software and hardware, including operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
  • Implement and monitor security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
  • Communicate effectively with users to understand their technical needs and provide appropriate solutions.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using IT support tools and software.
  • Experience with various Operating System (Windows, macOS, Linux).
  • Familiarity with network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
